Friends of Rachel |
The "Friends of Rachel" Club promotes kindness and compassion throughout the school and community.
Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Rachel challenged her readers to “Start a chain reaction of kindness and compassion.”

Student Council |
The Student Council of CHS is comprised of elected officers and the class officers. This year the Student Council has sponsored the Homecoming Dance and crowning of the King and Queen, Carter Blood Center blood drive, Our Troops campaign to send goodie boxes to soldiers in Iraq, and Parents' Night for football, volleyball, and basketball. The National Honor Society (NHS), is a recognition program for American high school students who show achievement in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Future Farmers of America |
FFA is a co-curricular organization for students enrolled in agricultural science classes. Membership is open to all students enrolled in any ag class. Junior membership is open to Commerce ISD students in grade 3-8 who wish to participate in livestock shows and local activities.

Drama Club is for all students interested in Theatre. Drama Club members participate in after school acting classes, extra curricular and UIL Theatre productions, fundraising activities and the end of the year Theatre Banquet.

Being a cheerleader/mascot is an honor and a special privilege. It is the purpose of cheerleading to promote and uphold school spirit, to develop a sense of good sportsmanship among the students and to build better relationships between schools during all athletic events.
