On behalf of Commerce High School, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the CHS experience.  We look forward to having your child on our campus this school year.  The task of educating young people is a grand and honorable charge.  We accept the challenge with fervor.  It is our goal to provide a quality and challenging education to our students.  We feel an education is a major key to the future successes of students.  A quality education is instrumental in providing the youth of today the tools by which they may attack their own futures.  It will prepare them to meet the challenges and demands of a complex society.  It is our goal to instill in them the self-discipline to achieve and the confidence to know that they can.  We feel that accountability is a major lesson one should learn early on and our expectations are high for student performance and behavior. 

Commerce High School is a place of commitment pieced together with drive and determination.  We are dedicated to setting the example through our work ethic and caring for kids.  We understand their importance to the future of not only our community, but also to our country.  It should be an institution melded together with the support of the community, parents, and school for the advancement of goals pertinent to student success and performance.  Together we plan to instill a real urgency to succeed; to be committed to student success; and to keep students aware of the importance and significance of their education.  It is a process that we hope will continue throughout their lives.  Individual effort and respect for teamwork will be utilized to help attain these desired goals.  Your support throughout the year is deeply appreciated and essential to attaining our desired goals.
